ECU flash is a must on the 2019-2023 ZX6.
Here are the options and their benefits/explanations with the suggested and currently selected settings, but you can chose on your own if you like:
Exhaust Valve
[ DISABLE ]
- Bypasses the Exhaust Valve Servo under the rear seat
Decel Fuel Cut
[ DISABLE ]
- Disables fuel injector deceleration cut-off. This helps smooth reaction when you let off the throttle reducing abrupt engine braking, also sends unburnt fuel to the exhaust causing some backfiring when decelerating from high RPM. This can be corrected with exhaust valve block off plates.
CA Model EVAP
[ DISABLE ]
- California Emissions stuff (for Cali bikes)
ECT / USB Error
[ DISABLE ]
- Eliminates check engine light from Engine Coolant Temp or USB reading errors
Warmup Fast-Idle
[ ENABLE ]
- Enables or Disables warm up high idle compensation
Air Switching Valve
[ DISABLE ]
- Bypasses Air Switching Valve (Clean air valve on the valve cover)
Force Quick Shifter System On
[ ENABLE ]
- Eliminates the need to keep the left bar controls to use the QSS system
Traction Control System
[ DISABLE ]
- Traction Control System is DISABLED completely. It will display setting 1 but will not function and sensors may be removed. This eliminates the need to toggle the TC switch every time you start the bike and opens up the hand brake bracket options to all 05+ ZX6 brackets *Note: The rear wheel sensor and ring control the speedometer.
Cooling Fan ON Temperature
[ 180F (82.2C) ]
- Fan temperature is modified to turn the fan(s) on at a lower temperature (selectable) OEM is 212F. We recommend 180F as that is when the idle becomes stable.
You can mail us your ECU and we ship back with 2-3 day standard or you can choose a 1-day turnaround so you have it back in under a week! (USA customers)
*THE ECU IS THE LOWER UNIT IN THE STACK AND HAS 2 WIDER PLUGS.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU BYPASS THE CLUTCH SWITCH - EITHER BY CONNECTING THE WIRES TOGETHER IF YOU KEEP THE LEFT BAR CONTROLS OR BY CONNECTING THE 2 CENTER PINS (TOP AND BOTTOM) ON THE PLUG THAT THE LEFT BAR CONTROLS GO TO ON THE BIKE. WE HAVE NO-CUT PLUGS AVAILABLE. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS, THE BIKE WILL FREAK OUT AND MANY SYMBOLS WILL FLASH ON THE GAUGE
THE 2019+ ZX6 ARE OBD II COMPLIANT WHICH MEANS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL NOT SELF-RESET. SO IF YOU LEAVE SOMETHING UNPLUGGED FOR EXAMPLE LIKE THE AIR BOX SENSOR, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL NEED TO BE CLEARED WITH A OBD II SCANNER LIKE ON A CAR. WE HAVE THESE AVAILABLE WITH THE ADAPTER HARNESS.
